From Thursday 22 to Friday 23 February, come and take part in the CIMMAP conference.
Prebiotic supplementation during pregnancy, a new strategy for preventing allergy in children?
The aim of the conference is to present the results of the ANR CIMMAP research project, which aims to characterise the effects of maternal supplementation with prebiotics on the maturation of the immune system and the composition of the intestinal microbiota and milk, in order to prevent childhood allergy. Allergy is a public health problem, with a growing incidence. This project is based on the PREGRALL clinical trial, funded by the French Ministry of Health, which was launched in November 2017 and seeks to assess the impact of antenatal supplementation with prebiotics (GOS/Inulin) in the prevention of atopic dematitis in children at risk at one year of age.
The conference will also be an opportunity to highlight innovative research carried out by laboratories in Nantes (BIA (INRAE) and PHAN (UMR INRAE Nantes Université), and supported by the CRNH-OUEST (CIMMAP partner) for the Human Nutrition axis..
